Our Story

Kitsap Veterinary Hospital is a credentialed teaching hospital and has maintained a prestigious AAHA accreditation, a benchmark of excellence, since 1986. We specialize in the care of dogs and cats. Founded by Dr. Ernest Bloomquist in downtown Port Orchard in 1947, the practice has evolved over the years to focus on meeting the need for small animal care. Today, we are dedicated to lifetime wellness care for your pet, treating each animal individually based upon his or her special needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach to veterinary care.
