Meet Our Doctors

_Meredith Davis, DVM, MS_

Dr. Meredith Davis graduated from Cornell University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She furthered her education at The Ohio State University, completing a residency in poultry medicine and a Master's degree in Veterinary Preventive Medicine. With 23 years of experience in avian and exotic medicine, Dr. Davis has dedicated her career to the specialized care of these unique pets. Since acquiring Island Exotic Veterinary Care in 2022, she continues the tradition of offering quality care to avian and exotic pets.

_Perri Wiggin, DVM_

Dr. Perri Wiggin graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2017 and completed her veterinary education at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England in 2021. She completed a rotating internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists before joining the Island Exotic Veterinary Care team. Dr. Wiggin is passionate about providing exceptional care for exotic pets and is excited to be serving the Long Island community.

_Heidi Hoefer, DVM, Diplomate ABVP_

Dr. Heidi Hoefer has dedicated over 30 years to the treatment of birds and exotic pets. A 1987 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, she completed a residency in avian and exotic pets at the Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York. Dr. Hoefer is board-certified in avian practice and has been instrumental in the establishment of Island Exotic Veterinary Care. She remains on staff as a consultant while continuing her work as an adjunct professor of Special Species at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.
