Our clinic, located in Helotes, Texas, has been in operation since August 1998. We are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including in-house diagnostics and radiography, and are constantly updating our services to ensure that we are providing the most comprehensive care available. We also offer boarding services for our current clients, providing a safe and comfortable environment for your pets while you're away.

Our staff is made up of compassionate, experienced individuals who are dedicated to the well-being of all our patients. From our practice administrator, Debbie Polson, who has over 50 years of experience in the animal medical field, to our skilled technicians and assistants, every member of our team is committed to providing exceptional care for your pets.

Our Services

At Hooves & Paws, we understand that every pet is unique and deserves personalized care. That's why we offer a wide range of services to cater to the specific needs of your pets. These include large and small animal medicine, farm calls/house calls, routine surgery, dentals, cosmetic surgery, routine bone surgery, and enucleations. We also provide vital sign monitoring on all surgical patients and offer in-house diagnostics and radiography, as well as laser therapy.

Whether your pet is in need of a routine check-up, a surgical procedure, or ongoing care for a chronic condition, we are here to help.

Our Staff

At Hooves & Paws, we believe that our staff is one of our greatest assets. Each member of our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care for your pets and ensuring that every visit to our clinic is a positive experience.

Dr. Kimberly D. Klein, DVM, is the owner of Hooves & Paws. She graduated from Texas A&M Veterinary School in 1993 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Helotes area ever since. Dr. Klein is passionate about providing compassionate, up-to-date care for all her patients, from dogs and cats to horses, goats, sheep, pigs, and more.

Dr. William G. Rasch, DVM, is a recent addition to our team. Born and raised in Central Texas, Dr. Rasch graduated from Boerne High School in 2003 and went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Marine Biology with a minor in Chemistry from TX A&M in Galveston. He graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and has been working with us ever since. Dr. Rasch enjoys hunting, fishing, sports, cartoons, and collecting comics in his free time.

Debbie Polson, B.S., LATG, is our practice administrator. With over 50 years of experience in the animal medical field, Debbie has worked with a variety of animals, including chimps, big cats, domestic cats and dogs, rodents, birds, and reptiles. She is our resident "Crazy Cat Lady" and has a zoo at home.

The rest of our staff is made up of skilled technicians, assistants, and receptionists who are all dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your pets. From our remote customer service rep, Stephanie Massey, to our animal care staff, including Anna Schooler, Christina Smith, and Makalyn Dinger, every member of our team is committed to ensuring that your pets receive the best possible care.
