Meet Our Team
_Dr. James Himmelberg, DVM, Owner_
Known as "Dr. Jim, " Dr. Himmelberg graduated from the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He has resided in Lincoln since 1993 and, after years of planning, proudly opened Vintage Heights Veterinary Hospital in 2009. He shares his home with his wife, two grown sons, two cats, and two Golden Retrievers. In his spare time, Dr. Jim enjoys woodworking and restoring vintage cars.
_Dr. Lucas Champoux, DVM_
Dr. Lucas Champoux, or "Dr. Luke, " was born and raised in Lincoln and earned his Bachelor's degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He graduated from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 and joined VHVH. His career interests include cardiology, dermatology, surgery, and client education. In his spare time, Dr. Champoux enjoys watching sports and spending time with his fiancee and their pets: a cat named Miura and a Golden Retriever, Gordon.
