History
Our journey began in 1975 when Dr. Richard Hauser founded Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital to serve the communities of Rancho Cucamonga, Alta Loma, Upland, Ontario, Claremont, Fontana, and the Inland Empire. In 1993, Dr. Reid Shufer took over the practice and is now the owner and chief of staff. Dr. Kathy Henderson joined the staff in 1998, serving as a full-time associate and Practice Manager.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be the leader in compassionate, experienced veterinary care and excellent customer service in the Inland Empire. We strive to provide a full range of the highest quality, veterinary medical and surgical services to ensure the health and well-being of your pets. Our experienced and well-trained staff of 12 dedicated healthcare providers consists of veterinary assistants, veterinary technicians, and receptionists. Each member of our team has undergone intensive training to provide you with the quality care that you and your pets both desire and deserve.
