Our History
Ark Animal Hospital was founded in 1984 by Dr. John Hetzler, with the vision of providing exceptional veterinary care to the animals of San Diego. Over the years, we have continued to evolve and expand our services to meet the changing needs of our patients and their owners. In 2008, Dr. Lianne Chu joined Dr. Hetzler as an associate veterinarian, and in 2015, she took over as the owner of the hospital. Under her leadership, our team has continued to prioritize the highest quality of medicine, while also considering the unique needs and financial situations of our clients.
