Our Story

Hickman Mills Animal Hospital was initially opened in 1957 by Dr. L.W. Williams on what was then a two-lane road called Blue Ridge. Since then, we have experienced only two ownership changes in more than five decades of service. In 2009, Dr. Scott Carlson purchased the clinic, bringing with him over 35 years of combined veterinary service. Our staff is dedicated to serving you and your family with a compassionate team who are excited to help care for your pets.
