Healthy Solutions for Your Pets and Livestock
At Boulder Veterinary Clinic, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical care for your pets and livestock. Our team, led by Dr. Susie Blaha, is passionate about helping animals live a healthy and happy life. We believe in a holistic approach to animal care, which means we consider the overall well-being of your pet, including their physical, emotional, and social needs.
Dr. Susie Blaha, the fourth generation of a Boulder ranching family, graduated from the Colorado State University School of Veterinary Sciences. She has a special interest in both small animal and equine dentistry. Our clinic is equipped with the latest technology including radiographs and ultrasound, which allows us to provide advanced medical care for your pets and livestock.
Our clinic is located in Boulder, Wyoming, and serves all of Sublette County. We offer a wide range of services including wellness exams, surgery, ultrasound, radiographs, dental care, and more. Our full facility has a barn and stocks for examinations and treatments, two indoor stalls for horses that need to be confined out of the weather, and a number of outdoor corrals. This makes it convenient for you to bring your horse trailer and ensures your horse receives the best care possible.
Our wellness exams are comprehensive and include a physical exam, blood work, and other diagnostic tests as needed. These exams are crucial in determining your pet's health status and can help identify any potential health issues early on. We recommend annual physical exams, especially for pets five years of age and older, to ensure they are receiving the best possible care.
In addition to wellness exams, we also offer surgical services for both small and large animals. Our surgical patients receive careful observation while under general anesthesia, and we continuously monitor their heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and cardiac rhythm. We also use a doppler to monitor blood pressure and ensure that the organs are adequately perfused throughout the procedure.
Our clinic also offers ultrasound services for both small and large animals. Ultrasound is a valuable diagnostic tool that allows us to gain a different perspective of what's going on in the body than x-rays offer. We can use ultrasound to diagnose pregnancies in small animals before a skeletal structure can be seen on x-ray, as well as to identify masses or other issues in organs such as the kidney, liver, spleen, and bladder.
Radiographs, or x-rays, are another diagnostic tool we use at Boulder Veterinary Clinic. X-rays are great for looking at what's going on in the body and can be used to determine broken bones, as well as to look at the lungs for pneumonia, the heart for signs of cardiac disease, the liver for signs of enlargement, the spleen for masses, and the kidneys size and shape.
At Boulder Veterinary Clinic, we are committed to providing exceptional care for your pets and livestock. Whether you need routine vaccinations, dental care, or more complex medical procedures, we are here to help. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for both you and your pet, and we look forward to serving you and your animal companions.
