Our Story

At Flint River Animal Hospital, we strive to provide the highest level of care to our furry friends and their owners. Our journey began when Kevin Lowe, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), returned to his hometown of Huntsville to pursue his dream of opening his own veterinary practice. With a strong educational background from Auburn University and experience working in various veterinary hospitals, Kevin was well-equipped to bring his vision to life. After conducting demographic analysis, we identified the perfect location for our practice, which was subsequently constructed and opened for services in 2009.

Pet Boarding and Daycare

Our Bed 'n Biscuit at Flint River Animal Hospital offers full-service boarding facilities, providing a safe and comfortable environment for dogs, cats, birds, and other pets. Our trained staff ensures that every pet receives individualized care and attention, while our play areas provide a fun and stimulating environment for socialization.

We also offer doggie daycare services through our Paws-2-Play Daycare, designed to provide a fun and active experience for your furry friend. Our state-of-the-art facilities and trained staff ensure your pet's safety and well-being.

Pet Grooming

Our pet grooming services are designed to keep your pet looking and feeling their best. From nail trimming to baths, brushing, and styling, our experienced groomers use only the highest-quality products and techniques to ensure your pet's coat is healthy and shiny.

Health Certificates

In partnership with our veterinarians, we offer health certificates for travel, adoption, or other purposes. Our certified health certificates are designed to provide assurance that your pet is healthy and up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations and exams.
