At Lake Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to providing top-quality care to our patients while offering education and support to our clients in all aspects of animal care. Our mission is to treat every animal as if they were our own, and we strive to exceed expectations in everything we do. Our experienced and compassionate team is committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of your beloved pets.

Our hospital is located at 107 W 16th St. in Storm Lake, IA. We are open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. On Saturdays, we are open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. We are closed on Sundays and over the lunch hour. Meet Our Veterinarians

Dr. Dianne Johnson is the proud owner of Lake Animal Hospital. She bought the practice she had been working at for many years on May 1st, 2016, and is excited to continue serving the community. Dr. Johnson is originally from Barnum, Iowa, and graduated from Buena Vista University in 1985 and Iowa State University Veterinary Program in 1989. She and her husband, Jerry, have two grown children, Darren and Emily, a dog named Walter, and a cat named Amber.

Dr. Chris Bean is an Associate Veterinarian at Lake Animal Hospital. She joined our team in August of 2016 after practicing in a mixed animal practice for several years in Storm Lake. Dr. Bean is originally from Sioux City, Iowa, and graduated from Briar Cliff University in 1996 and the Iowa State University Veterinary Program in 2000. She and her husband, C.J., have five children, a dog named Nala, and even a llama named Pumpkin.

Services We Offer

At Lake Animal Hospital, we offer a wide range of services to ensure the health and wellbeing of your pets. Our services include:

• Annual Vaccinations: We offer vaccinations for canine rabies, distemper/parvo, lepto, lyme, and bordetella. We also offer feline rabies, distemper/rhino, leukemia, FIV/leuk, and breeding services such as progesterone testing, dewclaw removal, tail docks, c-section, and pregnancy checks.
• Wellness Exams: Our wellness exams include physical exams, nutritional and behavioral counseling, and dental care.
• Dental Cleaning: We offer professional dental cleaning services to keep your pet's teeth healthy and prevent dental diseases.
• Blood Work: We offer various blood tests, including glucose checks, kidney levels (SDMA), thyroid levels (T4), sick animal panels, and pre-surgical panels.
• X-Rays: We offer digital radiography services to diagnose various health conditions, including heart and lung diseases, bone fractures, and soft tissue injuries.
• Surgeries: We perform various surgeries, including spay/neuter surgeries, soft tissue surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries.
• Emergency Services: We provide emergency services for our clients during office hours. After office hours, we have an emergency on-call vet available.
