We care for you both like our own
At Buxmont Veterinary Hospital, we are a full-service veterinary hospital that specializes in holistic wellness. We are dedicated to providing the best quality of life for your furry family members. Our team is committed to working together with you to ensure your pets thrive.
Our hospital is located on the border of Langhorne and Feasterville-Trevose near Playwicki Park, and we have been treating the animals of Bucks County and the Greater Philadelphia area since 1999. We were formerly owned and operated by the late Dr. Arline Rosenfeld, and we are now under the care of Dr. Nicole Sczypiorski.
Dr. Nicole Sczypiorski, DVM, CVA, CVFT, CVTP, CVCH, CTCVMP, MS, grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island in 2012. She has undergone extensive training for individual certifications in veterinary acupuncture, food therapy, Tui-na, and herbal medicine. She completed her Master's in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine at the Chi University in 2020, with a focus on using massage to alleviate arthritis in companion animals.
Dr. Nicole has worked for both corporate and private practices as a full-time associate and has helped out dozens of hospitals throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey as a relief vet. She owns Mobile Pet Karma - a holistic specialty house call practice that hasn't been fully operational since COVID19 - and purchased Buxmont Veterinary Hospital in November of 2022.
For former clients of Buxmont, Dr. Nicole wants to honor the memory of Dr. Arline Rosenfeld while integrating ancient techniques with modern practices for a truly holistic approach to medicine. Dr. Nicole lives with her four-legged fur baby, Apollo, and too many fish. She is a certified Usui and Tibetan Reiki master and Level III Marconic Energy Practitioner.
Our staff includes Michelle, who initially helped us out at the front desk as-needed but joined full-time in July 2023. Michelle has exceptional customer service skills, especially her ability to juggle multiple phone lines when things get crazy. Michelle has a Cairn Terrier Pomeranian cross that looks like a mini German Shepherd and does all sorts of crafty things in her spare time.
Becky, who has a full-time job on the human medicine side, helps out on Saturdays and the occasional weeknight when she's needed. She is an invaluable part of our team and ensures that our clients receive the best service possible.
At Buxmont Veterinary Hospital, we strive to incorporate as many Fear Free practices as possible to minimize Fear, Anxiety, and Stress (FAS) in our patients. We understand that veterinary medicine can be stressful in the best of times, so we kindly ask that you be patient with us, be kind, and always ask questions if you don't understand or need clarity.
We believe that exceptional medicine starts with having an exceptional staff that's paid a fair living wage and given every opportunity to be supported physically, mentally, and emotionally, with true work-life balance. We do not tolerate toxic behaviors, including overt rudeness, cursing, berating, and threatening staff.
