Holmes Animal Clinic Inc. was established in 1974 by Dr. Doug Holmes, a dedicated veterinarian with an extreme love for veterinary medicine. Over the years, the practice grew and flourished, driven by the commitment to improve the quality of life for animals through compassionate care. In 1991, Dr. Doug's son, Dr. Jeff Holmes, returned home after practicing in Pella, Iowa. Together, they expanded the clinic's services and capabilities, catering to both small animals and large animals. In 2003, Dr. Jeff took over the practice from his father and has since implemented state-of-the-art equipment and services, offering full in-house lab work, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, and laser therapy.

We strive to improve the quality of life for our patients through compassionate care, delivered by our family-oriented staff. We are dedicated to maintaining an atmosphere of respect, support, and client education, ensuring that you are well-informed and comfortable with the care your pet receives.

Our Team

Our team at Holmes Animal Clinic is made up of experienced and dedicated individuals, all committed to the health and well-being of your pets.

• Dr. Jeff Holmes: Senior partner and veterinarian, specializing in small animal and equine care.
• Deanna Holmes: Practice Manager, responsible for purchase orders, payroll, and assisting with animals.
• Deanna also operates the Paws Motail Boarding Facility.
• Bethany Herrick: Certified Veterinary Assistant and Office Manager, managing the front office and assisting with animals.
• Morgan Wagner: Chaos Coordinator, helping manage the clinic and assisting in various capacities.
• Abbie Buscher, RVT: Registered Veterinary Technician, working to complete her degree and providing exceptional care for our patients.
