Strengthening the human-animal bond through exceptional care

At Forest Bluff Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and veterinary care to you and your pet. We understand the importance of maintaining the human-animal bond and aim to improve the mental and physical well-being of your companion animal. Our team of experienced professionals stays current in veterinary procedures to ensure that we can provide the best care for your pet in our state-of-the-art facility.

Our Staff

Our staff is made up of compassionate, talented, and professional individuals who bring years of combined experience to the practice. Dr. Robyn Walter-Mrowiec, our veterinarian and medical director, has been practicing in the Chicagoland area for over 30 years. She is passionate about everything veterinary and family, and she shares her life with three children, husband Andy, and a house full of pets.

Our support staff includes Joe K., a veterinary technician with over 25 years of experience, and Sarah E., a receptionist who has been with Forest Bluff since nearly the beginning. Joe has experience in every capacity from Kennel Assistant to Hospital Manager and most enjoys being a part of preventative medicine and caring for surgical patients. Sarah loves getting to know all of the people and their pets as the primary contact at the front desk. She spends her free time keeping her two dogs entertained!

Services

We offer a variety of services to ensure that your pet stays healthy and happy. These services include:

  • Wellness Care: We are passionate about maintaining your pet's wellness through proper nutrition, appropriate body weight, activity, and vaccines as indicated by lifestyle. Our wellness exams are recommended annually for our younger patients and twice yearly for our senior patients to ensure we stay current with your pet's health throughout their life.
  • Surgery: We provide routine surgical services such as spays and neuters and growth removals. Additionally, we offer gastropexy to help prevent gastric dilatation and volvulus in deep chested/large breed dogs, and rhinoplasty to help our pups with narrow nostrils breathe easier!
  • Dentistry: We offer routine dental cleanings as well as necessary extractions and dental radiography. It's estimated that 80% of dogs by 3 years of age have dental disease. We also recommend home dental care to prolong intervals between the necessary dental procedures and to maintain dental health.
  • Therapy Laser: We have the newest technology available in laser therapy. Laser therapy is a noninvasive, surgery-free, drug-free treatment for a variety of conditions. Applications for laser therapy include: treatments of arthritis, degenerative joint disease, or hip dysplasia; general pain management (sprains, strains, and stiffness); post surgery recovery; and more.
