About Us
Sierra Madre Animal Hospital was established in November 2013, when Dr. Walter Cailleteau purchased the hospital formerly known as Hastings Animal Hospital. Dr. Cailleteau has over 20 years of experience practicing veterinary medicine and surgery in Southern California. Our staff is highly trained, and we pride ourselves on providing a clean, inviting, and calm environment for all our patients and clients.

Dr. Walter Cailleteau
Dr. Cailleteau was born in Santa Monica, California, and grew up in suburban Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Science from Texas A&M University and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing his internship, Dr. Cailleteau moved to the Los Angeles area and worked as an associate veterinarian at VCA Miller Animal Hospital in West Hollywood, California. In 2013, he purchased Hastings Animal Hospital and renamed it Sierra Madre Animal Hospital.
Services
In addition to our veterinary services, we also offer digital radiography, laboratory testing, and ultrasonography. Our in-house laboratory allows us to perform a variety of tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and parasite testing. We also have a digital radiography room, which allows us to perform X-rays and other imaging tests quickly and accurately.
