Our Story

At Sachse Veterinary Hospital, we are committed to providing compassionate care to our patients and their families. With over 30 years of experience, our dedicated team of veterinarians and staff strive to address every concern or problem you and your pet may have, ensuring a long and happy life together. Our full-service hospital welcomes emergency treatment cases and provides various services to our clients, including preventative medicine, wellness exams, nutrition counseling, and comprehensive dental care.

Our Services

We are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to handle even the most intricate and demanding medical and/or surgical cases. Our hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with a large, comfortable, and calming lobby, making it easy for your pet to relax while waiting for their examination. We also offer on-site semen freezing and storage facilities for canine semen, making us one of the largest facilities in the surrounding states.

At Sachse Veterinary Hospital, we pride ourselves on having a team of experienced and passionate veterinarians who are dedicated to providing top-notch care to our patients. Our veterinarians have a range of areas of expertise, from orthopedic surgery to canine reproduction. We also have a team of trained and certified veterinary technicians, assistants, and reception staff who work together to ensure the best possible care for your pets.

Our Veterinarians

Dr. Pirkey, the owner of Sachse Veterinary Hospital, has been a small and large animal veterinarian since 1986. He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Vadeell, another member of our team, is an expert in surgery and radiology. In his free time, he enjoys cycling, rock climbing, exercising, and traveling.

Dr. Ford, our associate veterinarian, has a special interest in small animal surgery and reproductive medicine. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, hunting, restoring classic cars, and spending time with his family and American Bullies.

Dr. Dunn, our relief veterinarian, has a passion for education and has been our veterinary student externship coordinator over the years. He also enjoys all types of cases, but has a particular interest in surgery and exotic animal medicine.
