The Animal Clinic of Spokane has been dedicated to providing quality medical care for pets in the Spokane and surrounding areas for the past 75 years. Our clinic is a full-service animal hospital offering comprehensive healthcare services, including medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets.

Our History

Established in 1925, our clinic has a rich history of providing top-notch care to the animal community. Originally known as Stratton Animal Hospital, the clinic was founded by Dr. Stratton and later purchased by Dr. Philip Pfarr in 1944. In 1980, the clinic was sold to Dr. Michael Pfarr, who continued to grow the practice. In 1993, a devastating fire destroyed the clinic, but we were determined to rebuild. We reopened in 1994 and have continued to grow and thrive since then.

Meet Our Doctors

At the Animal Clinic of Spokane, we take pride in our team of experienced and compassionate veterinarians. Our doctors are dedicated to providing individualized care to each patient, taking into account their unique needs and personalities.

Dr. Matt Schmidt

Dr. Schmidt is a graduate of Washington State University's School of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing veterinary medicine for over two decades. Along with his wife and children, Dr. Schmidt enjoys spending time outdoors, horseback riding, and coaching youth sports.

Dr. Luther McConnell

Dr. McConnell is a graduate of the University of Autonoma Veterinary Medicine in Juarez, Mexico, and has a passion for working with horses and livestock. In his free time, Dr. McConnell enjoys packing into the wilderness with his horses and mules, fishing, and hiking.

Dr. Michor Gentemann

Dr. Gentemann graduated from Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and is an avid outdoorsman. When not at work, Dr. Gentemann loves to hike, bike, and rock climb with his family.

Dr. Sara Roginski

Dr. Roginski is a graduate of Midwestern College of Veterinary Medicine and loves spending time outdoors with her husband and children. In her free time, Dr. Roginski enjoys camping, hiking, and cycling.

Dr. Chrisha Harris

Dr. Harris is a recent graduate of Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and has a passion for emergency medicine. In her free time, Dr. Harris enjoys water activities, dancing, and hiking.
