Founded by Charles and Helene Swaim, the company started as a farm and supply store located in the upper part of Oklahoma City Stockyards. Our Story
Swaim Serum Co has a fascinating backstory that spans over seven decades. We started as a farm and supply store in 1948, manufacturing a serum for hog cholera, a virus that caused multiple agricultural epidemics in the late 1800s and early 1900s. After relocating to our current location in the 1970s, we continued to operate as a pet and farm supply store. In 1970, our son John graduated from veterinary school, and in 1994, Dr. John Swaim opened Swaim's Veterinary Clinic.
