Established by Dr. Christine Akers, Paris Veterinary Clinic is the only exclusive small animal clinic in Paris, Kentucky. Since 1998, our team of dedicated veterinarians and staff have been committed to providing exceptional veterinary care to the pets of Paris and surrounding areas.

Meet Our Team

At Paris Veterinary Clinic, we are proud to have a team of experienced and caring veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and assistants. Our team is dedicated to providing top-notch care to the pets of Paris, Kentucky.

Dr. Christine Akers

Dr. Akers is the founder and lead veterinarian of Paris Veterinary Clinic. She graduated from Morehead State University with an associate in Veterinary Technology in 1987, the University of Kentucky in Animal Science in 1991, and Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine class of 1996 Magma Cum Laude. Dr. Akers has been married to her husband Jim for 31 years and has two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her three cats and French bulldog, Panda, on the weekends. Dr. Akers is involved in the Kentucky Veterinary Medical Association (KVMA) in the small animal portion and has participated in local low-cost vaccine and spay/neuter clinics for 10 years.

Madison Blake

Madison is a graduate of Morehead State University with a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science. In her free time, Madison enjoys spending time with her dogs, Olive and Cash, and her kitties, Wolfgang and Winny. Madison also has a turtle named Lenny.

Hallie Adams

Hallie is 18 years old and a junior at Locust Trace and Dunbar high school in Lexington. She is in the vet tech program and will graduate in 2025 with a vet tech certification. Hallie has several dogs and cats at home. In her spare time, Hallie enjoys playing baseball, bike riding, and being a patient ambassador for Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Charlotte Adams

Charlotte is 17 years old and a sophomore at Locust Trace and Dunbar high school in Lexington. She is currently in the equine and vet tech programs and will graduate with a vet tech certification in 2026. At home, Charlotte has several dogs and cats, along with a bunny, horses, chickens, geese, turkeys, and ducks. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys babysitting and loves hanging out with friends.

Mckaylee Gray

Mckaylee graduated from Fleming County High School in 2022 and has since been enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Science Program with aspirations of becoming a licensed veterinary technician after graduation. Mckaylee enjoys spending time with her mom and her cat Shrimp in her off time.

Specials

We are currently offering Buy One, Get One Laser Treatments! Our Class 5 Deep Tissue Laser is a new non-invasive therapy that uses a beam of laser light to deeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. Laser energy induces a biological response in the cells called "photo-bio-modulation", which leads to reduced pain and inflammation, and an increase in healing speed.

We are also offering house calls for a fee. Dr. Akers will travel to your home within Paris, Georgetown, North Middle Town, Winchester, Lexington, Carlisle, and Millersburg.
