Our Veterinary Team

At Countryside Animal Clinic, our team of veterinarians are highly skilled professionals, all native to Streator and proud graduates of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Susan Schmitt founded Countryside Animal Clinic and has been providing compassionate care to animals in Streator for over three decades. With a deep understanding of animal health and a gentle touch, Dr. Schmitt takes pride in building lasting relationships with both her patients and their owners.

Dr. Bob Harms, a seasoned veterinarian, joined Countryside Animal Clinic in 1990. His passion for animal welfare extends beyond traditional veterinary medicine, as he holds a federal and state license to treat birds of prey. Dr. Harms' expertise ensures that all feathered patients receive the specialized care they need.

Dr. Abbie Eiten, a native of Streator, has a deep connection to Countryside Animal Clinic. Having grown up working alongside her aunt, Dr. Schmitt, Dr. Eiten developed a passion for veterinary medicine from a young age.

Dr. Kelsie Allen, a recent graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, is thrilled to serve her hometown community.
